What we do

Practical strategy for every stage of ownership

Advice grounded in operating experience, not theory. Every engagement starts with a candid conversation about where you are and where you want to go.

Growth strategy

Clarify priorities, sharpen the business model and pricing, and build the operating plan that lets a company scale without breaking its owner.

Buying and selling businesses

Exit readiness, deal structure and transaction guidance for sellers and buyers, with full brokerage and M&A support through our affiliated practices.

Venture launch

Take a concept to an operating company: offer, brand, business model, systems and go-to-market, built by someone who has launched many.

Social enterprise and nonprofit strategy

Earned revenue, governance, mergers and acquisitions for mission-driven organizations that want more dollars available for the work that matters.

About

Dr. Jamie Klingman, DBA

Founder, The Klingman Group

Dr. Jamie Klingman is a creative strategist, serial entrepreneur and business broker based in Tampa, Florida. Over twenty years she has started, grown and sold her own ventures, including a home health care company she built and exited, so she has sat in the seller's chair herself.

Today she leads The Klingman Group and a portfolio of companies spanning business brokerage and M&A advisory, residential and commercial real estate, education and nonprofit revenue strategy. She has been a licensed real estate broker since 2016 and has served as broker of record for firms across the country.

As a practitioner-scholar, Jamie brings her doctoral research in social enterprise into her consulting, speaking and teaching. She speaks with the IBBA and the Jim Moran Institute, has taught for the Jim Moran Institute at Florida State University and has guest lectured at the USF Muma College of Business. In 2026 she joined Brentwood University as Adjunct Professor of International Entrepreneurship.

Her board leadership includes the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, where she has served as Board Chair and Treasurer, and the Institute for Economic Evolution, where she serves as Board Chair. She lives in Tampa with her husband, three daughters, 160 pounds of standard poodle and a hairless cat.
